BMSCA AND SRISHTI INSTITUTE OF ART, DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY, BANGALORE

BMSCA AND Srishti Institute of Art, Design And Technology, Bangalore collaborated for a student colloquium, an initiative that is established under the UNESCO Chair of Srishti. Primary intention of this student colloquium is to facilitate peer-to –peer inter disciplinary learning in academic environments with the larger subject area focused on ‘HERITAGE INTERPRETATION’. Colloquium included the particpation of fourth year under graduate students from BMSCA and final year under graduate students as well as first year post graduate students from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology.

BMSCA and The Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT)

BMSCA and The Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT)- conducted a Monsoon Studio with students of VII Semester, B.Arch. The objective of this collaborative studio was to understand the city through an intensive workshop format that allows for students and planners in the Government set-up to interact and debate on relevant city issues. Two study areas included Ulsoor & Shantinagar of Bangalore, involving extensive study and documentation of the areas followed by analysis and recommendations. The final design strategies and outcome was presented at the department to an eminent jury

ACCESSIBLE INDIA CAMPAIGN

BMSCA under the guidance of CBM and SAMA foundation, conducted the access Audits of government buildings in Bangalore City as a part of a nation-wide campaign fo achieving universal accessibility for persons with Disabilities launched by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Armed with an intensive orientation programme and accompanied by the personnel from SAMA Foundation to guide them, students conducted access audit of more than Fifty government buildings. Students also successfully complete the audits in the stipulated time and prepared a report on accessibility for each of the government buildings.

BMMSCA –GiZ, GERMANY –DULT

A MoU between BMSCA, GiZ, Germany and The Directorate of Land Transport (DULT) has collaborated for green Logistics Project (GLP) for Gandhi Bazaar area, Bangalore for conducting surveys and analysis for the baseline study for the project.

BMSCA – NANDISH ASSOCIATES, BENGALORE – BRUHAT BENGALURU MAHANAGARA PALIKE (BBMP)

A MoU based on academia-industry interaction had been entered between BMSCA and reputed firm ‘Nandish Associates- Bengaluru’, wherein students of Architecture, BMSCA worked on a Time-bound project on ‘Documentation and rejuvenation of Crematoriums & Burial grounds’ in & around the city of Bangalore as an assignment handed over by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, BBMP during Feb- Mar 2017. This involved site inspection, surveys, analysis and preparation of as built drawings, proposal drawings, estimates and detailed project reports of over 200 Crematoriums & Burial grounds. Final report shall be submitted to BBMP for further design stages.
