Matribhasha Diwas was celebrated at BMS College of Architecture in a grand manner with all the students and staff attending it on 20-02-2020. It included events ranging from talks, sharing experiences, screening documentaries to cultural performances by the students.
Emphasis was mostly laid on promoting awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. The objective was to sensitize the audience about the need for greater use of mother tongue and other Indian languages. It also aimed at highlighting the need to impart, among the students, the communication skills and proficiency in mother tongue and other Indian languages.
