Dr. Mamatha P Raj

Dr. Mamatha P Raj has been awarded The Prestigious "Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rashtriya Puraskar" by Glacier Journal Research Foundation, Global Management Council, Ahmedabad in recognition of the noble work done in the interest of students, teachers and the entire education fraternity.

Dr. Mamatha P Raj, Director has been honoured with "Outstanding Educator and Scholar Award" by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development. It is a National Gratis award of NFED bestowed on teachers across the nation.

INTACH Heritage Awards 2022 - Heritage Documentation – Admar Mutt. Udupi

Documentation – Admar Mutt. Udupi Group of 20 students from BMSCA were involved the Heritage Documentation of Admar Mutt, Udupi with an intention to document the Unprotected heritage of Karnataka. The documentation was conducted on site for 3 days and further to it, the documented data was transferred to digital drawings and sketches by the team. The team documented the intricate details, techniques used in construction, understood the spaces and the functioning of these mutts. The documentation was done to conserve the heritage and culture associated with these mutts. The compiled work was exhibited for the Public to create awareness on some of the lesser-known heritage sites of Karnataka.

Shala Vinyasa

eam Praagya from BMS College of Architecture, Basavangudi, secured first place in the Shala Vinyasa State Level Architecture Competition – an attempt to relook and transform the architecture of government schools.

The design by the team of 5 students pursuing there 6th semester B Arch at BMSCA, was shortlisted at multiple rounds and was presented to the panel at Finale held at PES University Bangalore on 1st July 2023

Praagya, proposal for a learning centre in Kuthpaady, Udupi, aims to foster a community inclusive design that embraces the cultural and educational richness of Udupi, Karnataka. This envisions reimagining of the traditional vernacular setting, where the built structures surround an open court, into a cluster-based arrangement aligned with the principles of the new education policy.

COA Students Awards for Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage 2022

2nd year B.Arch Students won the Zonal Level in the COA Students Awards for Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage 2022. They were also shortlisted amongst the Top 10 entries for the Final National Jury held at Woxsen University, Hyderabad.

Harish Karthick. V

Harish Karthick V, our semester IX student got an internship at the Architecture practice BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, Copenhagen, as a Sustainability Assistant, starting from August 2022.

His role at BIG involves working with project teams in the early/schematic design phase and in the design detailing phase to meet the Sustainability ambitions of the project. Working out of the Sustainability department at BIG, he assists project teams in making design decisions that optimize building performance, reduce energy use, minimize environmental impacts, and improve the indoor comfort of occupants.

A Pradhiksha's design entry received CITATION for in Design Trophy at INSPIRIT'19, a national level event organised by School of Architecture, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore held on 29 & 30 March, 2019.


Lalitha Yeleswarapu

Essay Theme:The House of Mirrors - Architecture in a maze of South Asian and South East Asian Cultures.

Sri Lalitha Yeleswarapu's essay entry was shortlisted for honorable mention and publication in the CEPT Essay Prize-2018 held from 15 June 218 to 30 Sep 2018 (Publication on - 03 May 2019). She competed with several entries from schools of architecture and allied disciplines from across the globe.


National War Memorial Design Competition

National War Memorial Design Competition - Design of the National War Memorial which would be a timeless monument to honour the memory of the brave soldiers.
