Dr. Lekha Hegde is a Professor of Architecture with over two decades of academic and professional experience in architectural education, research, and academic administration. She holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture, a master’s degree in architecture, and a PhD, with her research focusing on climate-responsive and vernacular architecture. She has served in various academic roles, including Professor and Head of Examinations. Dr. Hegde has published widely in national and international journals and has presented papers at prestigious conferences. Her academic interests include sustainable design, building science and heritage studies.
Dr. Dakshayini R. Patil, Professor & currently Academic Research- Lead is an Architect & Urban designer by qualification with over 22 years of experience in Academia, Research & Industry. Her B.Arch is from BVBCET Hubli (1999), M.Arch in Urban Design from RVCE (2010) and Ph D under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi (2019) completed under Supervisor Dr. Mamatha P. Raj addressed ‘Walkable mobility in for Senior citizens'. She has 26 publications in reputed refereed Journals & conferences at National & International levels, indexed in Scopus & Google Scholar. She has won awards such as best research paper (2nd place) presented at 6th UMI National conference by Institute of Urban Transport under the aegis of MoUD, GOI in 2013. She has worked in India with firms such as M/s Arch Plan, Sobha Developers Ltd on various INFOSYS projects in Mysore & RSP Design Consultants Pvt Ltd, Bangalore on several Master Planning & UD projects across India & Singapore; she worked at USA with HSM, Minneapolis, MN and undertaken several architectural consultancy projects.
"Triveni Chikkanna is a landscape architect and academic whose work bridges ecological sensitivity, social well-being, and human-centric design. She is currently an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture Design and Planning, Bengaluru, where she teaches landscape design studios, theory, and research-oriented courses. With professional training in architecture and advanced academic specialization, her practice and pedagogy focus on understanding how landscapes influence psychological comfort, community interaction, and everyday health. Her research interests engage with therapeutic landscapes, urban open spaces, water-sensitive urbanism, and inclusive public environments, examining how design can function as a tool for care, recovery, and social equity. He is recognised for his systematic handling of multiple consultancy assignments and for critically evaluating the relevance, performance, and applicability of emerging construction materials.
He actively contributes to quality assurance activities, and institutional development initiatives. He currently serves as the Consultancy Lead of the institution and is involved in coordinating design-based and urban-scale consultancy projects. His administrative roles include Chairperson of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Convener of the Grievance Redressal Cell, and Member of the Board of Governors. She holds a rank in her Master’s (M.Arch) in Construction and Project Management and is currently an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture, pursuing her PhD from VTU Belagavi.
Ar. Ketki Bharat Tendolkar is an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture, Design and Planning (BMSCA D&P), Bengaluru, with over 13 years of experience as an academician. Her specialization is Landscape Architecture which reflects in her teaching and research that is grounded in a deep engagement with landscape, ecology, and the interrelationships between built environments and natural systems. Architect Seema Thippeswamy is a registered architect with the Council of Architecture (COA), India, and an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA). She is currently serving as an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture, Design and Planning, a position she has held since May 2023. Prior to this, she was associated with Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Architecture, Pune, where she served as an Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2023. She brings with her a total of 17 years of professional experience, comprising 15 years in architectural education and two years in professional practice. With a strong commitment to academics and research, she has contributed scholarly work through publications in both national and international journals. Her research interests primarily lie in the domains of environmental architecture and architectural sociology, reflecting an interdisciplinary approach to sustainable and socially responsive design.

Dr. Yogita Nagpure is an Associate Professor at BMS College of Architecture, Design and Planning, Bengaluru, with over 21 years of national and international experience in architectural practice and academia. Her professional journey includes work experience in Singapore, Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, across reputed firms and organizations. She brings together 12 years of academic experience with extensive expertise in freelance architecture, interior design, and construction projects, effectively integrating professional practice with architectural education. She is currently involved in a live research collaboration under the SSG Bridge initiative, linking Birmingham, United Kingdom, and Ludhiana, Punjab. Dr. Nagpure has published and presented research papers in Scopus-indexed and UGC-listed journals, as well as at national and international conferences. She is also a keynote speaker at national conferences and a guest lecturer at various architectural institutions. Her areas of specialization include Product Design and Interior Design. Dr. Kishore has previously served at reputed institutions such as SPA Bhopal and Siddaganga Institute of Technology, and is currently associated with BMS College of Architecture, Design & Planning, Bengaluru. Rachana S. Shahapur is an Architect and holds a master’s degree in Interior Design from Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), Hyderabad. Her academic and research interests include the impact of interior environments on mental health and the role of art and craft in architecture. She enjoys exploring ideas through making, drawing, and hands-on work. Teaching is an important part of her journey, where she enjoys guiding students to think creatively, work practically, and develop their own design voice rooted in context and culture. A Gold Medalist and Rank Holder in Fine Arts from the University of Mysuru, Pavan KS specializes in multidisciplinary fine arts, seamlessly blending creative practice with pedagogical innovation. His areas of expertise include art education, visual communication, and curriculum development, where he integrates contemporary perspectives with traditional artistic methodologies. Through workshops, studio practice, and experiential learning approaches, he plays a significant role in nurturing students and fostering a dynamic learning environment.

His master’s degree enabled him to gain expertise in historical context, and especially in Digital Documentation. 2018 onwards he has been part of organizing workshops structured around the same, with mentoring in 4 UNESCO WHV programmes. Several scholarships he received during the master’s programme, enabled him to gain experience across borders: Israel; Australia; Malaysia & Belgium. Before stepping into full time teaching at BMSCA D&P in 2024, he worked with renowned studios, XDGA (Brussels), Dharohar, ITRHD Belgium, Dharatal. Pooja Mailsamy is an architect and urban researcher based in Chennai and Bengaluru, who envisions a society that collectively values diversity, ethnicity, and culture. Her approach to cities and planning engages with broader questions of social egalitarianism and spatial equity. She has researched and initiated several studies addressing social and gender issues within the built environment. Making Housing Precedents responds to the urgent housing crisis by exploring affordable and accessible social housing solutions within the spatial constraints of the city through formal architectural practice, supported by her expertise in Building Information Modelling (BIM). She believes in a multidisciplinary design approach that is adaptive, inclusive, and responsive. Her work frequently crosses disciplinary boundaries and manifests in diverse forms, including drawings, writings, mixed-media works, teaching, conservation initiatives, urban walks, spatial interventions, and curatorial practices.

"Ar. Rohit Prabhu is an Assistant Professor across the Architecture, Planning, and Design faculties, with a Master’s degree in Urban Design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. His work focuses on the relationship between built form, movement, and everyday urban life, with an emphasis on human-centered and context-responsive design approaches. Through his industry experience, he has been involved in projects across multiple scales, ranging from housing and commercial developments to corporate offices, public spaces, and mobility-oriented urban initiatives. This has enabled a strong integration of academic inquiry with professional practice. His academic interests include architectural design, transportation systems, public space design, and design as an enabling infrastructure that shapes human behavior and communities. As an educator, he emphasizes critical thinking, interdisciplinary exploration, and real-world relevance. He encourages students to engage with products, buildings, and cities as dynamic systems and to develop solutions that are socially responsive, practical, and future-ready."

Karthik H is an Assistant Professor and Urban Planner based in Bengaluru, currently pursuing a PhD on community participation in urban planning decision-making. With experience in both academia and practice, Karthik’s work focuses on Smart & Sustainable cities, Data-driven planning & decision making, and neighbourhood-scale urban design. He teaches architecture and planning, drawing on structural design, planning theory, and participatory methods to bridge classroom learning with real-world urban challenges. Through PlanSURE, his urban planning consultancy, he engages in planning, research, and visualization projects that support evidence-based and community-sensitive decision-making. Beyond academia, his interests span classic vehicle restoration, EV conversion, and community-oriented initiatives, reflecting a hands-on, experimental approach to problem-solving.
Ar. Vinit is an architect, academician, and researcher with a strong blend of professional and academic experience. He completed his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai and Master of Architecture in General Architecture, gaining a solid foundation in architectural design, theory, and research. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, with research interests centered on the urban built environment and environmental performance. He brings seven years of industry experience, having worked on diverse architectural projects that strengthened his understanding of contextual design, construction practices, and sustainable solutions. Alongside professional practice, he has five years of teaching experience, actively engaging in architectural design studios and core academic subjects. He is deeply passionate about teaching and mentoring, with a focus on critical thinking, experiential learning, and integrating research with design. His academic approach aims to bridge theory and practice while nurturing socially responsive and environmentally conscious future architects.
